Distance Learning

For information about distance learning in Music, click the relevant heading below. We would encourage you to read the 'further information' page, and if appropriate undertake activities in addition to the regular Music curriculum provided.

Year 7

Year 7 work will be posted on the relevant Google Classroom at the beginning of each week.

Year 8

Year 7 work will be posted on the relevant Google Classroom at the beginning of each week.

Year 9

Year 9 work will be posted on the relevant Google Classroom at the beginning of each week.

Year 10

Year 10 are expected to work independently on two aspects of the course, as well as completing work set by their teachers:

  • Practice - preparing for solo performance
  • Composition - working on first composition, due at the end of the summer term
  • One lesson per week will be made available, with specific tasks to complete

Regular feedback will be made available for students completing their compositions. Further information will be posted on the relevant Google Classroom.

Year 11

Year 11 are requested to await further information from the school regarding the completion of their GCSE in Music.

Year 12

Year 12 are expected to work independently on two aspects of the course, as well as completing work set by their teachers:

  • Practice - preparing for solo recital
  • Composition - working on first composition, due at the end of the summer term
  • Two 'live' lessons per week will be delivered, 1400-1530 on Tuesday, and 0930-1100 on Friday. Home learning and lesson prep will be set

Regular feedback will be made available for students completing their compositions. Further information will be posted on the relevant Google Classroom.

Year 13

Year 13 are requested to await further information from the school regarding the completion of their A Level in Music.
